In this regular segment of Sharing in Faith, we will share how we faithfully made it through the week. What did you face this week? What lessons did you learn? How did your faith carry you through?
This week’s Faithful Friday is all about faithful friends. And I’m lucky enough to have them.
My friends and I joined forces to pray together in our desire to release control over the people and circumstances in our everyday lives and to turn our concerns over to God.
As I mentioned in an earlier blog post, we purposed to pray with each other via text every day this week. We texted each other a prayer/affirmation first thing in the morning turning our day and our hearts over to God.
What a blessing this has been! First and foremost, I felt loved, encouraged, and supported to have someone to share this prayer challenge with. It was comforting to know that we were there to rally behind each other as we faced the challenges of everyday life. Secondly, it helped me develop a regular routine of talking to God first thing in the morning. In doing so, I felt more prepared to deal with whatever the day brought because I started my day off in prayer. And lastly, I was comforted just knowing that I’m not alone in my struggles and that other women (especially other moms) face them too.
So thank you God for faithful friends!
How about you? What is your Faithful Friday experience this week? Please share in the comments section below.
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. – 1 Thessalonians 5:11 (NIV)
